The BIG art show on December 10, 2015 was a great success! Classes toured through the exhibit with their teachers to view and discuss the works of art. Every Sweet Apple student had art on display! Frames provided by Artome were sold to benefit the art department. Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies throughout the school year. Thanks to all of the families who attended on Thursday night to view the show and attend Meet the Experts. It was a great night for celebrating arts education and the creativity of our SAE students!
SAE is excited to be hosting its first Student Led Conferences! These differ from traditional parent-teacher conferences in that the student is the one who does the talking! Student Led Conferences have become a best practice in many schools across the nation as research shows that the increased accountability and participation in the learning process greatly benefits students.
Parents – please mark your calendars and save the date of Thursday, February 11th. We hope you’ll drop by and visit the specials classes before or after your conference so that your child can showcase the learning they’ve done in these settings. Important – February 11th is the only date available for a Student Led Conference, as it has specifically been set aside for teachers to be available to facilitate this experience. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this rule. Thank you in advance for your support! |
